Worn Wear
Poster Design
Worn Wear, a subsidiary of Patagonia, seeks to repair and reuse Patagonia garments to extend their useful life. Worn Wear offers these garments for sale on their website wornwear.patagonia.com. As part of the Worn Wear Recycle Implementation Strategy, Worn Wear stresses “Repair, Reuse, Recycle”. For a promotional campaign, Worn Wear needed a poster that not only highlight the garments but celebrate people who chose to wear Patagonia & Worn Wear garments.
The challenge presented was to accurately represent both the persona and the durability of the products in an impactful and meaningful way.
The approach for the poster was two-fold. Gaining in-depth knowledge of the company’s mission and researching past successful Worn Wear campaigns offered crucial insight on the creative perspective needed for the design.
Patagonia and Worn Wear customers are outdoor enthusiasts. They are mountain climbers, hikers, and athletes. The area known as Patagonia spans Argentina and Chile. It is famous for its vast forest, natural reserves, and glaciers. It was important to incorporate these elements into the design.
The poster, a composite, brings these features together. Our hero is a confident outdoorswoman who shares a love for nature and knows she can trust the quality of her gear and garments.
